Lowerhouse Cricket Club LTD - Code of conduct for Adult members Lowerhouse Cricket Club LTD is fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the well-being of all its members, ensuring a positive and enjoyable experience for all. The Club believes that it is important that members, coaches, administrators and parents associated with the Club should, at all times, show respect and understanding for the safety and welfare of others. Therefore, members are encouraged to be open at all times and to share any concerns or complaints that they may have about any aspect of the Club with the Board. As a member of Lowerhouse Cricket Club LTD, you are expected to abide by the following Code of Conduct: • All members must take responsibility in ensuring they are up to date with the Club Rules, understand those Rules and adhere to them. The Club Rules and Regulations and By-laws can be viewed on the Lowerhouse Cricket Club LTD website. • All members must respect the rights, dignity and worth of all participants regardless of age, gender, ability, race, cultural background, religious beliefs or sexual identity. • Members should recognise the valuable contribution made by the Staff as well as the Board and other volunteers. They give their time and resources to provide the service that the Club provides for you. • All members must respect the Staff and the Board and publicly accept their decisions. • All members should be a positive role model, treat other players, members of Staff, the Board and other members with the same level of respect that they would expect to be shown to them. • Use correct and proper language at all times. • Members are not allowed to use drugs on Club premises or whilst representing the Club. (Unless otherwise medically prescribed). • Members should keep to agreed timings for courts, training and competitions or inform their Match Manager if they are going to be late or unavailable as early as is practicable. • Members must wear suitable kit for training and match sessions, as agreed with the Sports Professional or Match Manager and defined by the Club Rules. • Members must pay any fees for Courts, Coaching, Tournaments or other events on the day of usage • Bullying of any sort will not be tolerated. • Members should encourage everyone to enjoy sport and understand that people have different motivations for taking part. • All accidents must be reported to Reception and treated by a First Aider as appropriate Lowerhouse Cricket Club LTD Version 1 July 2016 Lowerhouse Cricket Club LTD - Code of Conduct for Club Staff, Officials, Volunteers and other activity leaders The essence of good ethical conduct and practice is summarised below. All Club Officials, Staff, Volunteers and other activity leaders must: • Display consistently high standards of behaviour and appearance and act as a positive role model • Follow all guidelines laid down by the relevant National Association and the Club. • Hold appropriate valid qualifications and current DBS check. • Activity leaders not directly employed by Seacourt must ensure they have appropriate levels of insurance. • Consider the well-being and safety of participants before the development of performance. • Develop an appropriate working relationship with participants, based on mutual trust and respect. • Make sure all activities are appropriate to the age, ability and experience of those taking part. • Promote the positive aspects of the sport (e.g. fair play and fun). • Never exert undue influence over performers to obtain personal benefit or reward. • Never condone rule violations, rough play or the use of prohibited substances. • Encourage and guide participants to accept responsibility for their own performance and behaviour. • Encourage participants to value their performances and not just results. • Treat all young people fairly and ensure they feel valued. Have no favourites. Never use sanctions that humiliate or harm young people. • Understand emergency evacuation and first aid procedures. • If administering first aid to a young person, ensure, where possible, this is carried out in the presence of others. The GDPR, the General Data Protection Regulation, has been in operation since May 2017 and is enforceable from 25th May 2018, recognised under UK law as the Data Protection Act 2018 (DPA 2018). It is a Regulation by which the European Commission (and the UK) intends to strengthen and unify protection for individuals.. It also addresses export of personal data outside the EIJ. Its obligations include minimising the collection of personal data, deletion of personal data that is no longer necessary, restricting access, and securing personal data through its entire lifecycle. Consequently, this new legislation will affect the way Lowerhouse Cricket Club LTD contacts its members and stores personal information about its membership. Lowerhouse Cricket Club LTD will comply with the requirements of GDPR/DPA2018 and will request members to consent to their data being held in accordance with this policy. The following personal information is held by Lowerhouse Cricket Club LTD membership data base: • Full Name • Date of Birth • Email Address • Contact telephone Numbers • Full address and postcode • Gender • Joining date • Some subscription information, such as date paid and cost of subscription • Lowerhouse Cricket Club LTD Card Account balances • Lowerhouse Cricket Club LTD will only use members’ personal details specified above, and these will be used solely for the following purposes: • Communication between Club Members to facilitate the management of matches, competitions and events at the Club. • Communication between Club Members, The Board of Directors and Employed Staff to promote accessibility and enable the general running of the Club. Members who leave the Club will have their personal details (apart from name) deleted after two years of leaving the Club. You may have a copy of this policy by request • You have the right to be removed from the lists etc; but this may affect your ability to participate in Sports, Fitness and Social activities at Lowerhouse Cricket Club LTD. • You have the right to see what information we store about you, by request to the Board of Directors, and we will provide this within 30 days. • You have the right to have your history deleted or to change details of the data stored.


There are very few occasions where Lowerhouse Cricket Club LTD would need to offer a refund, and such refunds are made at the Club's discretion. If required, refunds can be issued by the Lowerhouse Cricket Club LTD Accounts team only, via 1 of 2 methods: 1. Credit issued to your Club membership card. 2. Bank transfer to a UK bank account. We are unable to offer refunds via PDQ (debit/credit card) or cash.
